Congratulations to the IDB runners, family and friends who completed the Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) and MCM 8K race on October 31st.

On Friday, May 20  IDB Cycling Club members braved the elements and joined thousands of local bike commuters for the Washington Area Bicyclist Association's Annual Bike-to-Work Day Celebration.

The day was a bit overcast and humid, but the competitors didn't mind, since bright sun would have only added to the rigors of the race, which featured open water for all swimmers, hill after hill for the bikers, and a hilly trail for the runners.

Time flies when you are having fun and dancing salsa... It’s hard to believe but in April the IDB Salsa Cultural Club will turn two!  It has been a great two years. Club organizers have been taking members to a local dance club...

As the weather warms up in the spring, staff members start thinking about getting back on their bikes and start calling the IDB Cyclists’ Club. So the club invited a spokesperson from Washington Area Bicyclists’ Association (WABA), Maggie Thompson, to the IDB to give the first Brown Bag Seminar on Commuter Cycling on April 12, 2006.

The weather on Friday, May 19 was absolutely ideal for this year's Bike-to-Work Day, an annual event sponsored by the Washington Area Bicyclists' Association (WABA) and Commuter Connections to promote a cleaner, more environmentally-friendly way to get to work.

To celebrate the arrival of warm weather, on June 8 the IDB Salsa Cultural Club had its members and other Latin dance aficionados twirling during its Summer Salsa Party.

Néstor Ares was having breakfast while reading The Washington Post on Sunday morning, August 20. The second place winner caught his attention and he exclaimed to his wife: “Hey, I’ve seen this picture before!”

Summer is over, but the IDB Staff Association Salsa Cultural Club welcomed the cooler weather with its Fall Salsa Party and, to the beat of salsa and merengue...

The Fishing Club had an outing on Saturday, November 25, one of the most beautiful days of the year. It was sunny, the sky was clear, there was very little wind, the waves were small, although the temperature was a little on the chilly side.

Any worried, stressed, serious or sad faces disappeared as soon as people stepped off the elevator on the third floor of the Annex Building and were greeted by a blast of salsa music.

The National Mall shined pink on Saturday morning, June 2, 2007 as more than 45,000 breast cancer supporters and survivors gathered for the Eighteenth Annual Susan G. Komen National Race for the Cure. The IDB/IIC Race Team members, 244 registered runners and walkers, were among them in the 5K Run/Walk.

Some people think it’s for drinking, some for nerds, but according to Claudia Stevenson, newly elected president of the IDB Development Speakers Club, Toastmasters is actually the “best kept secret” at the Bank. I asked her to explain.

In a new holiday tradition, on Friday, December 7, the IDB Salsa Club held its second Christmas Salsa Party.

IDB staffers are a well-traveled lot, and many like to capture their experiences on film. For three weeks in February, 182 photographs enlivened the atrium in the Bank’s main headquarters building, setting a new record for the IDB Photographic Society’s Annual Staff Photography Exhibit.

IDB Runners' Club members, family and friends completed several races this summer. In late August, they headed for the hills at the Thirty-Third Annual Annapolis Ten-Mile Run.
