The day was a bit overcast and humid, but the competitors didn't mind, since bright sun would have only added to the rigors of the race, which featured open water for all swimmers, hill after hill for the bikers, and a hilly trail for the runners.

As the weather warms up in the spring, staff members start thinking about getting back on their bikes and start calling the IDB Cyclists’ Club. So the club invited a spokesperson from Washington Area Bicyclists’ Association (WABA), Maggie Thompson, to the IDB to give the first Brown Bag Seminar on Commuter Cycling on April 12, 2006.

The National Mall shined pink on Saturday morning, June 2, 2007 as more than 45,000 breast cancer supporters and survivors gathered for the Eighteenth Annual Susan G. Komen National Race for the Cure. The IDB/IIC Race Team members, 244 registered runners and walkers, were among them in the 5K Run/Walk.
